Hello I am Charlotte Westbrook and I am a Clinical Massage Therapist specializing in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage. I am also a Clinical Massage instructor at Texas Healing Arts Institute and an assistant teacher for Dr. Rosita Arvigo. The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage ™ are centered around the ancient Mayan techniques, which reposition organs that have dropped and restricted the flow of blood, lymph, nerve & chi energy. Some of the most commonly treated issues by this massage: -PMS related issues -fertility challenges -Hormonal Imbalances - Chronic stomach issues -IBS -Ovarian Cysts -Fibroids -Chronic Uterine Infections -Bladder Infections -indigestion -lower back ache I also specialize in Pregnancy Massage using the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage. The massage gently encourages optimal uterine position, strengthens the uterus, and promotes sufficient blood supply to provide nutrients and oxygen to the uterus/baby and to remove toxins. This works to prevent many discomforts of pregnancy and increases the chances of an efficient labor and delivery. The Clinical side of my background enables me to be able to assess any postural issues that may be contributing to any acute or chronic pain complaints anywhere in the body. I incorporate myofascial release, triggerpoint therapy, joint mobilization and reiki into a deep yet gentle, restorative massage. I have been a Reiki master/teacher under the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage for 2 years and have been practicing Reiki for over 6 years now. I have also been trained in ancient Mayan Spiritual Healing through the Arvigo Institute in Belize.
